This Privacy Policy describes how Grayvault Consulting Inc. ("Grayvault", "we", "us") handles information accessed through the Grayvault Bookkeeping Automation tool (the "Application"), an internal application that integrates with QuickBooks Online ("QBO") for the bookkeeping operations of Grayvault Consulting Inc.
The Application is used solely by Grayvault Consulting Inc. for its own internal bookkeeping. The Application is not offered to, used by, or accessible to any third party, customer, or other business. There are no external users.
Through QuickBooks Online's API, the Application accesses bookkeeping data belonging exclusively to Grayvault Consulting Inc., which may include:
The Application does not access data from any QuickBooks Online company other than that of Grayvault Consulting Inc.
Accessed information is used only for the following purposes:
The Application does not use accessed information for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose unrelated to Grayvault's internal bookkeeping.
OAuth access and refresh tokens, along with any cached data retrieved by the Application, are stored locally on a single secured developer workstation operated by Grayvault Consulting Inc. Tokens are stored in encrypted form, protected by operating-system access controls. All communication between the Application and QuickBooks Online occurs over HTTPS/TLS. Information accessed through the Application is not transmitted to or stored on any third-party server other than QuickBooks Online itself, except that internal bookkeeping summaries derived from it are stored in Grayvault's own Google Workspace account, which is access-restricted to Grayvault personnel.
Grayvault does not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose any information accessed through the Application to any third party. The Application has no advertising, analytics, telemetry, or third-party integrations that would result in disclosure of accessed information.
Locally cached data is retained only as long as required for active bookkeeping operations and is deleted when no longer needed. Access to QuickBooks Online may be revoked at any time by disconnecting the Application from within QuickBooks Online's "Apps" or "My Apps" settings, which immediately ends the Application's ability to access QuickBooks Online data. Upon disconnection, locally stored tokens are invalidated and may be deleted.
The Application is not directed to, and does not knowingly process any personal information of, individuals under the age of 13.
Because the Application is used solely by Grayvault Consulting Inc. for its own bookkeeping and does not collect or process personal information of other individuals, no external user data is involved. The QuickBooks Online account owner retains all rights to revoke access at any time.
Grayvault may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised Effective Date.
